V003000100043 ANALYSIS As much as 50% of the integrated gamma-ray production V003000100044 cross section corresponds to low energy transitions V003000100045 between the individual levels. The average V003000100046 multiplicity OF these gamma-rays is about 2 but it V003000100047 fluctuates heavily depending on the decay scheme, or V003000100048 on the knowledge of it. This causes mainly the V003000100049 differences between the gamma-ray production cross V003000100050 sections for neighbouring isotopes. V003000100051 A minor source of uncertainty is the omission of weak V003000100052 reaction channel in the calculation. The channels V003000100053 omitted contributed to no more than 30 mb of particle V003000100054 cross section each. The resulting underestimation of V003000100055 the gamma-ray production cross section does not exceedV003000100056 300 mb, which is insignificant with respect to the V003000100057 amplitude of the fluctuations mentioned above.
