The primary beam had an average intensity of S026500100025 about 130 enA. The 7Be and 8B projectile-like S026500100026 fragments were separated by their magnetic rigidity S026500100027 and delivered by the RIBLL to the scattering chamber. S026500100028 The average intensities of 7Be and 8B radioactive S026500100029 beams were 6500 and 550 pps, with purities of 57.6% S026500100030 and 4.9%, respectively. S026500100031 SAMPLE The target consisted of an 8.26-mg/cm2-thick S026500100032 self-supporting foil, made by the evaporation method. S026500100033 DETECTOR (SCIN) Two plastic scintillators were placed at the S026500100034 second and fourth focal planes of RIBLL as time-of- S026500100035 flight detectors.
