           (BCINT) The beam flux was determined from the charge   S021900100030 
           collected in the Faraday cup installed after the       S021900100031 
           targets by using a precise current-integrator device.  S021900100032 
           The Faraday cup was biased with negative 400-V         S021900100033

DETECTOR   (SIBAR) Two Si (Au) surface-barrier detectors, at      S021900100035 
           angles of +-30 deg with respect to the beam direction, S021900100036 
           were used to detect the elastically scattered 9Be      S021900100037 
           particles form an Au foil placed upstream from the     S021900100038

           (HPGE) Each HPGe detector group consisted of two HPGe  S021900100040 
           detectors in a face-to-face geometry, where single     S021900100041 
           gamma-ray and gamma-gamma coincidence measurements     S021900100042 
           could be performed simultaneously. The Ge crystal      S021900100043 
           part of detector was surrounded by a Pb annular        S021900100044 
           cylinder of 3 cm thickness to reduce background from   S021900100045 
           natural radioactivity. The absolute efficiency of the  S021900100046 
           detector was determined by using a set of calibrated   S021900100047 
           radioactive sources (60Co, 133Ba, and 152Eu) placed    S021900100048 
           in front of the HPGe detector.                         S021900100049
