S020200100018 SAMPLE A 920 mg/cm2 thick carbon reaction target S020200100019 DETECTOR (SCIN,SI) The incident particles were identified by S020200100020 using a combination of the time of flight from SC1 to S020200100021 SC2 measured between two plastic scintillators (SC1 S020200100022 and SC2) and the energy loss measured with a 290-um- S020200100023 thick silicon detector (Si1). S020200100024 (SCIN) A plastic scintillator (SC2) placed 15 cm S020200100025 upstream of the target and the time-of-flight wall S020200100026 with 30 plastic scintillator strips and an active S020200100027 area of 120 X 120 cm2 placed about 11 m downstream S020200100028 from the target were used to measure the time of S020200100029 flight. S020200100030 (SI) The energy loss was measured by a 290-um-thick S020200100031 silicon detector (Si2) placed 30 cm downstream of the S020200100032 reaction target. S020200100033 METHOD (TOF) S020200100034 CORRECTION The background contributions were measured by using S020200100035 target-out runs and were subtracted.
