The thin magnesium layer was S019500100014 deposited on the graphite crystal by evaporation in S019500100015 the vacuum environment (2.0E-3 Pa), then the thin Au S019500100016 layer was evaporated on the Mg layer in the same S019500100017 vacuum condition. In order to get mean proton S019500100018 energies in the Mg and Au layers for energy S019500100019 corrections during data analysis, the target S019500100020 thickness was measured by using both 2.5 MeV 7Li and S019500100021 400 keV proton Rutherford backscattering. The area S019500100022 densities of Mg and Au layers were 5.91E17 and S019500100023 1.23E17 atom/cm2, respectively. S019500100024 DETECTOR (SIBAR) Four silicon surface barrier detectors with a S019500100025 resolution of 12 keV, set at the laboratory back S019500100026 scattering angles of 140, 150, 160 and 170 degree, S019500100027 respectively, were used for the detection of S019500100028 backscattering protons and every detector had a S019500100029 tantalum cover with a hole whose diameter were 3 mm S019500100030 limited the detector solid angles to 1.21+-0.01 msr. S019500100031 ERR-ANALYS (DATA-ERR,,5.) The overall standard error in the S019500100032 measured cross sections is estimated to be better S019500100033 than 5% at all the beam energies and angles.
