O235800100032 METHOD (EXTB,REC,TOF,EDE) Production of nitrogen isotopes O235800100033 were studied on proton and carbon targets using O235800100034 high-energy beams of incident isotopes. In the O235800100035 experiment, only the nitrogen isotopes were O235800100036 identified, at angles with near zero degrees. The O235800100037 incident particles were identified via time-of-flight O235800100038 and their energy loss. The incident position and O235800100039 angle of the bombarding particles were determined O235800100040 with time-projection chambers. A veto detector was O235800100041 used to reject events for which the incident carbon O235800100042 was associated with other charged particles. The O235800100043 charge Z of the outgoing particles from the target O235800100044 was determined via their energy loss. The position O235800100045 distribution of Z=7 particles was measured.
