The 60 mum target was made on a lathe O173500100010 by turning a vacuum-sucked piece of pure graphite. The number of carbon atoms per cm**2 of the O173500100015 (CH2)n target was determined by weighing. For other O173500100016 targets this was done by comparison of yield O173500100017 measurements with measurements done the (CH2)n target. O173500100024 (SOLST).The solid state detector was a p-i-n type O173500100025 lithium-drifted silicon counter of 2.2 mm thickness, O173500100026 in which a proton could dissipate an energy of O173500100027 approximately 20 MeV as a maximum. O173500100028 CORRECTION The dead-time correction was made. O173500100029 ERR-ANALYS The systematic errors in the absolute values of the O173500100030 differential cross section is about 6%. This error O173500100031 is mainly due to uncertainty in the target thickness O173500100032 determination and the error in the charge measurement. O173500100033 Errors due to finite geometry and multiple scattering O173500100034 were estimated to be small compared to the other O173500100035 uncertainties.
