The angle could be determined to O030200100027 within 0.1 degrees. The zero direction was determined O030200100028 to within +/- 0.1 degrees by measuring on both sides. O030200100029 (IOCH ) A nonsaturating He ionization chamber was used O030200100030 to monitor the incident proton beam. This chamber was O030200100031 calibrated with a Faraday cup. O030200100032 MONITOR (6-C-12(P,INL)6-C-12,PAR,DA) The cross sections were O030200100033 normalized to that of inelastic scattering from the O030200100034 4.44 MeV level in 12-C, previously measured to within O030200100035 +/- 5% at Orsay.
