The photon beam was produced M068000100032 via the Compton backscattering of laser photons with M068000100033 high-energy electrons. The 4He(g,p)3H and M068000100034 4He(g,n)3He reaction cross sections were found out M068000100035 to increase monotonically with energy up to 29.8 M068000100036 MeV, in contrast to the result of a recent M068000100037 theoretical calculation based on the Lorentz M068000100038 integral transform method that predicted a M068000100039 pronounced peak at around 26 - 27 MeV. The energy M068000100040 dependence of the obtained 4He(g,n)3He reaction M068000100041 cross section up to 26.5 MeV is marginally M068000100042 consistent with a Faddeev-type calculation M068000100043 predicting a flat pattern of the excitation M068000100044 function.
