Cross sections for the M065100100028 lead isotopes at theta = 90 and 140 degree differ M065100100029 significantly from predictions based on known giant M065100100030 dipole resonance (GDR) parameters showing marked M065100100031 strucrtures in this region of enery. The cross M065100100032 sections for 209Bi and 181Ta are in agreement with a M065100100033 previous measurement. The 181Ta cross section is the M065100100034 only case where agreement is found with calculations M065100100035 based on known GDR parameters. New GDR parameters M065100100036 for 209Bi were deduced by combining the present M065100100037 elastic scattering with those from previous M065100100038 measurements, leading to k-GDR = 0.35 (0.06).
