The detectors M056900100034 were processed to produce visible fission tracks for M056900100035 track analysis with optical microscopes. Absolute M056900100036 mean cross sections per photon and fissility were M056900100037 evaluated. Results are discussed and compared with M056900100038 other photofission data as well as with estimates M056900100039 from the current fission models. A broad minimum M056900100040 found for nuclear fissility of 10**(-4) - 10**(-3) M056900100041 covering the range Z**2/A = 15 - 25 seems to confirm M056900100042 the predictions from the models. For Al and Ti M056900100043 nuclei the probability of fission amounts to about M056900100044 10**(-1).
