M049800100017 ANALYSIS (PLA) The cross sections were obtained from the M049800100018 experimental yields using the unfolding variable-bin M049800100019 Penfold-Leiss method. Measurements of the yield M049800100020 curves was carried out using a constant energy M049800100021 interval of 0.1 MeV between successive points and an M049800100022 average curve for each target was obtained from five M049800100023 individual yield curves for B-10 and from seven for M049800100024 B-11. In contrast to the situation for medium to M049800100025 heavy nuclei where a statistical model can be used M049800100026 to account for processes such as (g,2n), no suitable M049800100027 model is available for light nuclei so that no M049800100028 attempt was made to correct the measured yield M049800100029 curves for any multiplicity of neutron counting. For M049800100030 both isotopes the total photoneutron cross section M049800100031 presented is the sum: sig(g,tn) = sig(g,n) + M049800100032 sig(g,np) + 2sig(g,2n). Neutron yields were measured M049800100040 using direct neutron counting and were analysed M049800100041 using the variable-bin Penfold-Leiss method. The M049800100042 integrated cross sections from thresholds to 27.6 M049800100043 MeV were also obtained.
