M039700100026 COMMENT By means of direct registration the curves of the M039700100027 photoneutron yields were measured from the thresholds M039700100028 of the reaction (gamma,n) up to 30 MeV for Si-28, M039700100029 S-32, and Ca-40. The (gamma,n) reaction cross M039700100030 sections obtained are compared with the calculations M039700100031 performed within the framework of the particle-hole M039700100032 approach. It is shown that for the Si-28 and S-32 the M039700100033 configurational splitting of the giant resonance is M039700100034 main effect that determines the gross structure of M039700100035 (gamma,n) reaction cross section. M039700100036 Absolute cross section data were obtained using the M039700100037 comparison procedure for thin targets (2 g/cm-2) M039700100038 of element studied and the data for copper target M039700100039 from the measurement of H.H.Thies et. al.
