By dividing the O-18 neutron spectra by the M035400900013 corresponding bremsstrahlung distributions, the M035400900014 pseudoground state cross sections were obtained M035400900015 using Q-value of 8.05 MeV for the ground state. To M035400900016 obtain the ground state cross section only the tip M035400900017 region of 1 MeV of each spectrum was used. The tip M035400900018 regions of the pseudoground state cross sections M035400900019 were combined to obtain the ground state cross M035400900020 section as a function of excitation energy. This produced a set of M035401000010 normalized neutron spectra ( containing the ground M035401000011 state contribution only). Subtraction of each M035401000012 spectrum from the corresponding measured neutron M035401000013 spectrum extracted neutron contributions from M035401000014 transitions to the excited states. Division by the M035401000015 respective bremsstrahlung distributions produced M035401000016 pseudo excited cross sections when a Q-value of 8.92 M035401000017 MeV was used. The first excited state cross section M035401000018 was then determined following the same procedure as M035401000019 for the ground state cross section, but using here a M035401000020 tip region of 1.6 MeV.
