L022300100018 ANALYSIS Cross sections were extracted from the experimental L022300100019 spectra using the line-shape fitting code ALLFIT. L022300100020 ERR-ANALYS (ERR-SYS,5.,15.) Systematic uncertainties due to L022300100021 target thickness and instrumental deadtime of 5-15% L022300100022 were added in quadrature. L022300100023 CORRECTION The peak integrals extracted from the spectra were L022300100024 corrected for radiative effects according to the L022300100025 prescription of Bergstrom. In addition, on-line L022300100026 diagnostic spectra were accumulated so that L022300100027 corrections to account for the misidentification of L022300100028 good events and instrumental dead time could be L022300100029 applied. These corrections were normally of the order L022300100030 of a few percent and for the forward-angle data, L022300100031 dominated by the dead-time correction. At backward L022300100032 angles, where the counting rate is low, instrumental L022300100033 dead time is negligible and the correction is L022300100034 dominated by good events corrupted by spurious L022300100035 background events by the computer software. Depending L022300100036 on the amount of background, this correction could be L022300100037 as large as 20% at the backward angles.
