An electron beam L019200100019 is accelerated by the injector part of the L019200100020 Superconducting DArmstadt electron LINear ACcelerator L019200100021 (S-DALINAC) L019200100022 (ESTRG,1USATNL) Part of the measurement performed L019200100023 at the HIgS facility at TUNL L019200100024 SAMPLE (28-NI-60,ENR=0.998) Scattering sample for the L019200100025 bremsstrahlung measurements consisted of 2.996 g of L019200100026 metallic Ni. For the 6.0 and 8.0 MeV measurements the L019200100027 target was sandwiched between disks of enriched L019200100028 (99.8%)11B and for the 9.9-MeV measurement between L019200100029 disks of natural boron. L019200100030 DETECTOR (HPGE) Three high-purity germanium detectors, each L019200100031 with 100% relative efficiency were placed under L019200100032 angles of 90deg and 130deg with respect to the L019200100033 incident photon beam. The detectors were embedded in L019200100034 a massive lead shielding and each was equipped with a L019200100035 bismuth-germanate-oxide (BGO) active anti- Compton L019200100036 shielding. L019200100043 (LCS) Nearly monoenergetic gamma-rays were produced L019200100044 by Compton backscattering of photons of the L019200100045 free-electron laser at HIgS.
