L016300100022 METHOD (TOF,PSD) L016300100023 INC-SOURCE (LCS) Nearly monochromatic polarized photon beam L016300100024 produced by Compton backscattering of laser beam on L016300100025 electrons, circulating in a synchrotron. The photon L016300100026 beam is macroscopically continuous but photons arrive L016300100027 in bunches 180 ns apart, since photons are scattered L016300100028 on internal bunched electrons beam. Photon rates of L016300100029 up to 10E+7 photons/s were used in these measurements. L016300100030 ANALYSIS Because of short flight path between the target and L016300100031 the neutron detector cells (406 mm), the TOF spectrum L016300100032 does not have sufficient resolution to unambiguously L016300100033 identify the (g,n0) neutrons. Therefore the light- L016300100034 output was used to eliminate neutrons from other L016300100035 reaction channels.
