For both irradiation runs the gamma F143600100017 -spectroscopic measurements of Th targets started F143600100018 about a day after end of bombardment and were carried F143600100019 out repeatedly during more than a year. F143600100026 SAMPLE Metallic high chemical purity (>99.9%) thorium foils F143600100027 of thickness from 45+-3 to 69+-4 mu-m were used as F143600100028 targets. Each foil (17x50 mm2) was placed between F143600100029 aluminum (100+-4 mu-m thickness) and copper (40+-2 mu-mF143600100030 thickness) foils for beam intensity monitoring. The F143600100031 three foils were inserted into a plastic frame and F143600100032 wrapped in 10 mu-m thick aluminium foil. F143600100033 ADD-RES (A-DIS) F143600100034 ERR-ANALYS (EN-ERR) The total uncertainty in proton energy F143600100035 comprised cumulative effects of initial beam energy F143600100036 at the accelerator, irradiation arrangements, as well F143600100037 as proton straggling and scattering.
