SAMPLE Enriched, isotopic W-184 target of thickness 210 D604900100018
           microgm/cm2 on a 110 microgm/cm2 carbon backing was D604900100019
used. As the residues were of low energy (5.5 to 8 D604900100020
MeV),the carbon foil was made to face the beam to D604900100021
avoid energy loss of residues in carbon foil. D604900100022
DETECTOR (BGO) 14 BGO detectors were used with seven detectors D604900100023
at the top and the remaining seven at the bottom. D604900100024
(SIBAR) Elastically scattered oxygen ions were D604900100025
registered in two Si surface barrier detectors placed D604900100026
at 25 degree with respect to the beam direction. D604900100027
(HPGE) A high resolution HPGe detector of 23% D604900100028
relative efficiency was mounted at the target D604900100029
chamber. Gamma rays were recorded by the HPGe detector D604900100030
in singles and in coincidence with ERs. D604900100031
METHOD (TOF,GSPEC)A pulsed beam, with a pulse separation of D604900100032
4 microsec was used to record the time of flight D604900100033
(TOF) of slowly moving residues. The start signal for D604900100034
TOF was taken from focal plane Si detector and the D604900100035
stop signal was the RF used for pulsing, with 4 D604900100036
microsec pulse separation. The (TOF) setup gave a D604900100037
clean separation of ERs from the beam like particles. D604900100038
The transmission efficiency of HIRA was determined by D604900100039
the gamma ray method at 100 MeV beam energy. D604900100040

Total fusion cross sections (open triangles) are D604900200004
obtained by adding fission and evaporation residue D604900200005
cross sections. The fission cross sections have been D604900200006
