D429700100020 METHOD The detectors were collimated with about 1 mm wide D429700100021 slits. Two detectors with angular separation of 10 D429700100022 degrees were mounted on the upper turntable, to measureD429700100023 the yield of the scattered alpha particles at forward D429700100024 angles. Five detectors were placed on the lower D429700100025 turntable with angular separation of 5 degree. D429700100026 The solid angle was typically within (1.0-1.6)10-4 sr. D429700100027 Two other detectors were mounted on the wall of the D429700100028 chamber at +-15 degree to monitor the beam intensity.
