Downstream of the target, a C306900100043 Faraday cup was used to measure beam current, and an C306900100044 annular silicon detector was used to detect C306900100045 elastically scattered deuterons for a narrow range of C306900100046 c.m. angles between 29 and 29.3 degrees. The latter C306900100047 allows an absolute normalization of measured yields C306900100048 to generate absolute cross sections.
