The energy resolutions (FWHM) at 1332.5 keV of C305400100015 60Co of the HPGe detectors used were 1.9 keV at FZJ andC305400100016 2.5 keV at LBNL. C305400100017 SAMPLE The 25 microm thick Ti foils of natural isotopic C305400100018 composition consisting of five stable isotopes, C305400100019 namely 46Ti (8.25 %), 47Ti (7.44 %), 48Ti (73.72 %), C305400100020 49Ti (5.41 %) and 50Ti (5.18 %) (supplied by C305400100021 Goodfellow; purity: 99.6 %) were cut in circular C305400100022 discs with a diameter of 13 mm. These foils were also C305400100023 used as beam monitors. Six natTi-containing stacks C305400100024 were irradiated with protons. C305400100025 METHOD (STTA,ACTIV) Excitation functions of the proton- C305400100026 induced reactions on natural titanium were measured C305400100027 by the stacked-sample activation technique. The overall uncertainty of measured cross C305400100042 sections amounted to 7-14 % (1 sigma). Due to weak bad C305400100043 shape peak at 372.76 keV emitted in the decay of 43Sc, C305400100044 a large uncertainty was associated in the peak area C305400100045 analysis particularly in lower energy region (<16 MeV) C305400100046 as well as with its measured cross section.
