ANALYSIS In order to calculate the cross section of the C283901000004
S32(d,p) S33 reaction, an integral numbers vs. range C283901000005
curve was taken by setting the counting level as low C283901000006
as possible. In this manner was determined the total C283901000007
number of particles corresponding to the end group C283901000008
that were emitted within the solid angle subtended by C283901000009
the counter. Knowing the beam intensity, time of C283901000010
observation, and number of sulfur nuclei in the C283901000011
target volume, one may calculate the cross section C283901000012
for the reaction that leaves the nucleus in the C283901000013

ANALYSIS Using the information on the relative intensities of C283901100004
the various groups, one may calculate the cross C283901100005
sections for the total reaction. It was noted that C283901100006
for the three longest range groups there is C283901100007
substantial agreement between relative yields as C283901100008
determined from the integral curve and from the C283901100009
peaked curve. Hence, it is perfectly satisfactory - C283901100010
in fact, preferable - to obtain this information from C283901100011
the peaked data which applies to 90 degree C283901100012
observation only inasmuch as the angular distribution C283901100013
of proton intensities is not spherically symmetric. C283901100014
