A 20 mm diameter Kapton window C280900100018 12 mu-m thick was used to separate the gas-filled C280900100019 chamber from the high vacuum beam line. C280900100020 DETECTOR (TELES,SI,SI) The detection system consisted of three C280900100021 telescopes each made of 50x50 mm2, 50 mu-m thick C280900100022 silicon dE detector segmented into four quadrants and C280900100023 a 50x50 mm2, 1500 mu-m thick single PAD silicon as C280900100024 residual energy detector. One of the telescopes T1 C280900100025 was centered at theta(lab) = 0 deg, and telescope T2 C280900100026 was adjacent to T1 at approx. 1400 mm from Kapton C280900100027 window. A third telescope T3 was positioned at about C280900100028 600 mm from the Kapton window and angled at 45 deg C280900100029 with respect to the beam axis. To reduce background C280900100030 from beta particles, threshold in T1 and T2 detectors C280900100031 was set to 5 and 4 MeV, respectively. C280900100032 (MCPLT) A microchannel plate detector was placed C280900100033 upstream of the Kapton window to measure time of C280900100034 flight.
