C269700100021 DETECTOR (SCIN) Secondary rays were detected using an array C269700100022 of 13 2" x 2" LaBr3 detectors. The detectors were C269700100023 placed approximately 12" from the center of the target C269700100024 position from 0 to 120 deg. C269700100025 ANALYSIS Secondary gamma ray yields were extracted from the C269700100026 LaBr3 energy spectra for gamma rays at Eg = 0.844 and C269700100027 1.014 MeV, which correspond to decays from the first C269700100028 two excited states of 27Al directly to the ground C269700100029 state for of 27Al. The normalized differential C269700100030 thick-target yields were integrated over the angular C269700100031 range using a Legendre polynomial fit.
