C239500100022 DETECTOR (TELES,SISD,SISD) Recoiling protons from the C239500100023 4He(19F,p) 22Ne reaction populating both the ground C239500100024 and first excited 22Ne states were detected with a C239500100025 large area annular silicon strip detector array C239500100026 SIDAR.SIDAR was configured in a dE-E telescope mode C239500100027 for particle identification with 100 mu-m thick dE C239500100028 and 1000 mu-m thick E detectors. To block the C239500100029 majority of elastically scattered alpha particles at C239500100030 large angles (THETAlab > 70deg, THETAc.m. < 40deg) , C239500100031 a hollow cylinder was installed at the center of the C239500100032 array. C239500100033 METHOD (EDE) C239500100034 ANALYSIS The energy of incident proton in extended target was C239500100035 reconstructed on event by event basis from total C239500100036 energy of proton identified by E-dE method. Vertex and C239500100037 scattering angle was deternimed energy of the proton C239500100038 and conservation of energy and momentum. The excitationC239500100039 functions for the 19F(a,p)22Ne and 19F(a,p')22Ne C239500100040 reactions were then calculated by using the yield and C239500100041 the solid angle covered by SIDAR at each reaction C239500100042 vertex. Since beam current normalisation was rather C239500100043 uncertaint, data are given as relative.
