Pleasant, C192300100010 Michigan C192300100011 (1USAUSA) Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois C192300100012 (1USAUSA) Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota C192300100013 REFERENCE (J,PRL,108,142503,2012) C192300100014 FACILITY (CYCTM,1USAMSU) The experiment was performed at the C192300100015 Coupled Cyclotron Facility of the National C192300100016 Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory at Michigan C192300100017 State University C192300100018 SAMPLE Be target with thickness of 705 mg/cm2 C192300100019 DETECTOR (SPEC) After the reaction target a 4 Tm C192300100020 superconducting magnet was used to bend by 43 deg and C192300100021 analyse the emitted charged particles. Particles were C192300100022 identified by series of energy and position sensitive C192300100023 detectors in focal plane. C192300100024 (SCIN) Forward focused neutrons were detected using C192300100025 Modular Neutron Array (MoNA), placed 6.05 m from the C192300100026 target. MoNA consists of 144 individual detector C192300100027 modules. Each module is based on a block of BC-408 C192300100028 plastic scintillator measuring 200 x 10 x 10 cm3. C192300100029 METHOD Charged particle detectors and MoNA array provided C192300100030 relativistic four-momentum vectors for 24-O nuclei C192300100031 and neutrons, which were used to calculate the decay C192300100032 energy of two- and three-body systems. C192300100033 INC-SOURCE The primary beam of 140 MeV/A 48Ca bombarded a 1316 C192300100034 mg/cm2 9Be production target. The secondary beam 27F C192300100035 with an energy of 82 MeV/A was separated from the C192300100036 other reaction products and the primary beam using C192300100037 the A1900 fragment separator. The 27F component of C192300100038 the secondary beam was 7%. The main contaminant was C192300100039 30Na. The 27F fragments were identified event by C192300100040 event through the time of flight C192300100041 ERR-ANALYS (DATA-ERR) Origin of uncertainties not described C192300100042 HISTORY (20210924C) Compiled by S.H.
