C033200100009 INSTITUTE (1USAINU,1USABRK,2JPNTOK) C033200100010 (2FR PAR) Institut de Physique Nucleaire, Orsay, FranceC033200100011 FACILITY (SYNCH,1USABRK) LBL Bevalac. C033200100012 DETECTOR (GELI) The Cu targets were gamma ray counted using a C033200100013 45 cm3 PGT Ge(Li) detector. C033200100014 METHOD (EXTB,GSPEC) Two copper targets were irradiated with C033200100015 4.22 GeV (211 MeV/nucleon) and 7.54 GeV (377 C033200100016 MeV/nucleon) 20Ne ions in the external beam of the C033200100017 Bevalac at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. The C033200100018 total currents on target were 7.5 x 10**7 and 8.57 x C033200100019 10**7 20Ne ions/sec for Cu 377 and Cu 211, C033200100020 respectively. The targets were transported to the C033200100021 Indiana University Cyclotron Facility (IUCF) C033200100022 10 days after the irradiation and were gamma C033200100023 ray counted periodically over a 4 month time interval. C033200100024 CORRECTION The thick-target yields of products near the target C033200100025 were corrected for secondary production processes. C033200100026 The corrections amount to a 5% reduction in the thick C033200100027 target yield of Mn and increase with mass number to C033200100028 about 20% for Co and 35% for Zn. The error in these C033200100029 corrections is estimated to be of the order of 20% C033200100030 for 60Co of the reduction and would amount to C033200100031 increased errors of a few percent or less for the C033200100032 thick target error values. The low mass products 7Be C033200100033 and 24Na were corrected approximately 30% and 15%, C033200100034 respectively. C033200100035 ERR-ANALYS (DATA-ERR) No details on sources of uncertainties. C033200100036 (ERR-1,,20.) Correction error.
