Each detector is housed within a custom 1485000100030 lead shield in the TUNL low-background counting 1485000100031 facility. 1485000100032 SAMPLE A single DFC contains two thin (10-100 microg cm-2) 1485000100033 reference foils and a thick (~200 mg cm-2) actinide 1485000100034 activation target. The activation target is 1485000100035 contained in the center of the chamber while the thin 1485000100036 reference foils are 2.67 mm up- and down-stream from 1485000100037 the activation target.
