We have limited our study to 1473500100022 fission induced by thermal neutrons. The "prompt" 1473500100023 fission gamma rays which were investigated in this 1473500100024 experiment, i.e., these emitted within less than 2 1473500100025 microseconds of the fission process may be expected 1473500100026 to originate from the highly excited fragments long 1473500100027 before their radioactive decay.
