The detector had a 1451400100018 cylindrical shape with hole through the neutron path 1451400100019 where the sample was placed in the center of the 1451400100020 cylinder. The detector contains 20 liters of NaI(Tl) 1451400100021 divided into 16 optically isolated segments. Both the 1451400100022 total energy deposited and observed cascade 1451400100023 multiplicity were collected. 1451400100024 METHOD (TOF) The electron LINAC was operated at a repetition 1451400100025 rate of 225 pps, a pulse width of 18 ns, and electron 1451400100026 energy of approx. 57MeV. Detector was located at a 1451400100027 flight path distance of 25 m. 1451400100028 INC-SOURCE (PHOTO) The 57 MeV electrons were directed at the 1451400100029 Bare Bounce Target in this experiment. The Bare 1451400100030 Bounce Target is made of tantalum plates and a 2.54 1451400100031 cm-thick polyethylene moderatorand was developed to 1451400100032 enhance the epithermal neutron production.
