cell. The gas pressure was adjusted to 4 atm to 1447200100026
provide the desired neutron energy spread in the 1447200100027
energy range investigated. Typically the neutron 1447200100028
energy spread was +-150 keV at 0 deg. 1447200100029
(D-T) The 3H(d,n)4He reaction (Q = 17.59 MeV) was 1447200100030
employed for En=14.8 MeV,replacing the deuterium gas 1447200100031
cell by a tritiated target assembly. It consisted of 1447200100032
a 2-mg/cm2-thick titanium layer loaded with 2.5 Ci of 1447200100033
tritium and evaporated onto a 0.4-mm-thick copper disk 1447200100034
