AUTOMATICALLY SATISFY DETAILED BALANCE, WHETHER OR NOT NUCLEAR
FORCES ARE TIME REVERSIBLE. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT THE CASE FOR
THE DIFFERENTIAL CROSS SECTIONS, SO THAT A DETAILED-BALANCE
TEST FOR TIME REVERSIBILITY BECOMES POSSIBLE,IN PRINCIPLE, IN
THE REGION OF ISOLATED RESONANCES. WE DESCRIBE THE FIRST
SUCH EXPERIMENTAL TEST OF DETAILED BALANCE, THE REACTION
STUDIED BEING 27AL+P --> <-- 24MG+ALPHA, TAKING PLACE THROUGH
