PURPOSE=/WE REPORT FINAL RESULTS AND THE EXPERIMENTAL DETAILS OF THE
FIRST INVESTIGATION AT MEDIUM ENERGY OF PROTON-PROTON
BREMSSTRAHLUNG(PPGAMMA) . THE INCIDENT PROTON ENERGY IS WELL
ABOVE THE INELASTIC THRESHOLD IN PP INTERACTIONS AND IS
SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER THAN THE ENERGIES OF ALL PREVIOUS
PPGAMMA EXPERIMENTS. AN IMPORTANT OBJECTIVE OF OUR EXPERIMENT
IS TO TEST THE RANGE OF VALIDITY OF THE SOFT PHOTON
APPROXIMATION BASED ON THE LOW AND BURNETT-KROLL THEOREMS AND
THAT OF THE EXTERNAL EMISSION DOMINANCE APPROXIMATION WHICH IS
EQUIVALENT TO THE FIRST TERM OF THE SOFT PHOTON APPROXIMATION
